Joe made a huge leap of faith, quitting his job to attend a networking party he was invited to due to his Crypto Twitter presence as an enthusiast and P2E gamer. Having the “Degen Hero Arc” as he called it, he not only met his co-founder for Forum3, but also crossed paths with Adam Brotman, CDO of Starbucks at the time, where it began the plan to bring the major loyalty program in the world to web3.

P2E: Play to Earn is a concept where players can earn cryptocurrency or other valuable digital assets by playing games. The idea is to incentivize gameplay and create a more engaging and rewarding gaming experience for players.

CRM: Customer Relationship Management is a software that helps businesses manage their interactions and relationships with customers. It provides tools for organizing, automating, and synchronizing sales, marketing, customer service, and technical support.

Metadata: Metadata refers to data that describes other data. It provides information about a particular set of data, such as the content, context, and structure of that data.

Web2: Web2, also known as the second generation of the World Wide Web, refers to the era of the internet that began in the mid-1990s and is characterized by static web pages, limited user interactivity, and centralized data control by a few large corporations.

Web3: Web 3 refers to the next generation of the internet, which aims to be more decentralized, secure, and private. It includes blockchain technology and other peer-to-peer protocols that enable new forms of digital interaction and value exchange without relying on centralized intermediaries.

Web2.5: Intersection between web2 and web3, leveraging blockchain solutions without some of the complexities and friction of it, making it more centralized.

Metamask: MetaMask is a browser extension that allows users to interact with the Ethereum blockchain and access decentralized applications (dApps). It serves as a digital wallet for storing and managing cryptocurrencies and enables users to participate in Web3 applications securely.

Polygon: Polygon is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, which aims to improve the network's scalability and transaction throughput while reducing costs. It is an open-source, decentralized blockchain platform that allows for faster and cheaper transactions compared to the main Ethereum network.
